If you are looking for a relaxed weekend away then La Ferme is the place to go. It is the perfect place to stay while exploring the Franschhoek Winelands; however it's undoubtedly enjoyed the most by those with a keen interest in fly fishing.

It is clean and safe with exquisite views and absolute silence. If you wish to try your hand at fly fishing, La Ferme has stocked dams right on your doorstep. You can choose to sit on the wooden deck of your chalet and light a fire or, as it is self catering, take  a 5 minute drive into Franchshoek and visit one of the many establishments whether it be fine dining or pub \'n grub, the choice is yours.

Guests can kick back and relax by a beautiful dam, fly fishing for just enjoy the quaint Franschhoek cottages (3 log cabins) – all of which have been decorated in contemporary décor with a fun and fresh feel.

Camping facilities are also available for larger parties (school groups, corporate functions etc…); you simply need to bring your tent with you.

There are four well stocked fishing dams in which to catch rainbow trout, bass carp, witvis and tilapia.  You can spend hours by the dams and can even pack picnics and make a family event out of it. Braai facilities around the dams make it easy for you to simply relax and socialise alongside your rods and the water.

For outdoor lovers, mountain biking and hiking is also available in the Limietberg Nature Reserve – our neighbour! You can bring your own bikes however you will need to book a permit through Cape Nature. You can phone 021 866 8007.

La Ferme is popular as its Franschhoek accommodation is perfect for animal and bird watching. Here, guests can observe the majestic fish eagle, springbok,fellow deer, horses, ostrich, ducks and geese.

Other activities near to our Franschhoek cottages include fabulous Franschhoek restaurants,the quaint towns of Stellenbosch and Paarl are also within a short distance drive away, and have various art galleries for you to stroll through as well as gift, cheese, chocolate and coffee shops for you to enjoy.

Undoubtedly, this region is most famous for its award-winning and truly beautiful wine farms, each of which offers its patrons a unique and incredibly special experience. If you can tear yourself away from our tranquil fly fishing accommodation and dams, the Motor Museum on L'Omarins Wine Estate is also an incredibly popular attraction to those visiting the Franschhoek region, as is the glass blowing factory which can be found on Seidelberg Wine Farm.
