General fishing rules and information:
  • Species of fish in dams are Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Bass, Carp and Witfis
  • Four unique lined dams. Only barbless hooks permitted.
  • Kick Boats and waders welcome except during competitions.
  • No bait fishing or spinners in the trout dams (dam 1 and 2)
  • Children may not fish for trout unless they are experienced.
  • Any fish injured will be charged at R60 per kg not gutted.
Fishing Rates:
  • Fly Fishing entry per adult - R100
  • Fishing entry per child - R50
  • Entry for a day visitor non-fisherman - R50
  • Rods for hire - R40 per day
  • Fishing lessons - R50 per hour adult (more detailed)
  • Kiddies lessons - R20 per child (in bass dams only)
  • Flies - R10 each
  • Lures - R15 each
  • Fish taken - R60 per kilogram not gutted
  • To have us clean your fish - R10 per fish
  • Please note you will be charged for injured fish or damaged rods/reels
Remember to tip your guide for good service - it's the right thing to do.

The rod hire indemnity is crucial and will have to be signed. We’ve had incidents in the past where clients damage rods and don’t want to pay for the damages. There is no company in the Western Cape that repairs rods and thus we charge a flat R300 for damage to fly fishing rods and R250 for spinning rods.  Client must keep the damaged rod!
